Executive Summary
This workshop aimed to bring together humanitarian and development actors to collectively examine and strengthen the use of evidence in cash programming across Lebanon. By showcasing key research from LCAT and CAMEALEON—particularly on informal social protection, the multiplier effect, and humanitarian cash systems in emergencies—the event will serve as a platform to:
-Share recent findings and strategic directions,
-Map existing studies and knowledge products,
-Identify critical evidence gaps and operational challenges, and
-Prioritize actionable recommendations to enhance the relevance, coordination, and impact of cash-based assistance in the current crisis context.
Overview
The Lebanon Crisis Analytics Team (LCAT) provides actively supports humanitarian actors by providing real-time, reliable data, granular analysis, and recommendations to inform critical decisions before, during, and after crises. LCAT continues to facilitate humanitarian information management for crucial decision-making regarding preparedness, program design, response, and accountability amidst ongoing simultaneous crises in Lebanon. LCAT achieves its program objectives by delivering regular and up-to-date context analyses and recommendations. LCAT focuses on evidence generation, contextual updates, and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
