The main objective of the study is to shed light on how misinformation affects different actors (refugees, host communities, beneficiaries, non-beneficiaries, policy makers, implementing agencies) and how this impacts their social interactions and behavioral patterns.  The results of the study will help implementing organizations to reassess their communication efforts by understand how detrimental misinformation can be for social stability and the indirect and unexpected effect that cash assistance can have on social dynamics.  The evaluation will cover the neighborhoods in Baalbek-Hermel, Akkaar, Beirut and Mount Lebanon and will consider refugees, host communities, beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of assistance, since all these categories are affected by misinformation regarding cash.

Established in 2017 to support the effectiveness and accountability of social assistance for refugees and host communities in Lebanon.
